    Description
    This course surveys the science fiction genre from literary and theoretical points of view. It draws upon stories, novels, and/or graphic novels that highlight speculative fiction's focus on exploring the impact of scientific and technological progress on humanity, as well as the ways in which science fiction settings offer new perspectives for critiquing existing social attitudes and structures and imagining the future.
