Topics include the fundamentals of wood, lumber, fasteners, adhesives, layout, assembly, bracing, sheathing, and truss identification. In addition to learning vocabulary associated with framing, students participate in Service Learning by way of a practical lab or an actual project site under close supervision of trade professionals.
