    Description
    appropriate placement Introduces the basic statistical methods and analyses commonly used in sociological research. Topics include: descriptive and inferential statistics usually include levels and types of measurement; measures of central tendency and dispersion; normal, t, and chi- square distributions; probability and hypothesis testing; correlation and regression. Applications of statistical software such as SPSS to sociology and/or other social science data required. UC credit limitation: ECON-291, PSYCH-104, SOCI-137, STAT-C1000, STAT-C1000E, and STAT-C1000H combined, maximum credit one course.
