- ENGL-C1000H Surveys the literature of the United States from the colonial period through the U. S. Civil War. Approaches the material from a multiethnic and multicultural perspective, presenting works not only by established canonical authors but also lesser-known work from the African American, Native American, and Latina/o traditions.
