Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis low-advanced course is designed to give students practice in writing organized and well-developed paragraphs and essays. Students receive regular instructor feedback and opportunities for revision and editing. Homework assignments and class activities ask students to analyze culturally relevant readings and reflect on experiences about larger social, cultural, and economic issues. This class also provides work on low-advanced-level grammar structures and editing within the context of the students' own work. This is the 2nd in a series of 3 academically-focused writing courses (ESL 827, 828, and 400) which prepare students whose primary language is not English for success in college and in their personal and professional lives by helping them advocate for themselves, their families, and their communities.Usually HeldMon Wed Fri 9:10am–11:00am, Tue Thu 10:30am–12:00pm, Mon Wed 6:30pm–8:50pm, Thu 11:10am–1:40pm
