Transfers ToCSUDescriptionReading and expressing ideas can be challenging, especially for multilingual English learners, but these practices are also essential for becoming successful students. In this course, advanced multilingual students will broaden their cultural understanding of the world and the human condition and expand their critical reading, analysis, and writing abilities. We will discuss diverse texts of social, historical, and cultural importance, relating them to students’ own experiences. Students will engage in multi-draft writing by synthesizing sources, conducting research, organizing their ideas, developing their own voices, and presenting their ideas to readers.
