- This class is a combination of art history and studio art designed to introduce the aesthetics, materials and techniques of the Western modern period of the 19th and 20th centuries. Students will recreate the dominant art style and technique of each period, including Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Surrealism and various forms of Abstraction. Previous studio art experience is not needed.
