This course examines the use of descriptive statistics, probability, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, regression and correlation analysis, chi-square, t-tests, and applications of technology for statistical analysis, including the interpretation of the relevance of statistical findings for business problem solving and decision making. It covers descriptive statistics, probability hypothesis testing, linear and multiple regression, correlation, sampling, statistical inference and time series analysis. Students are instructed in the use of computer spreadsheet software to solve statistical and data analysis problems.
