This course introduces traditional and modern trends in Spanish and Latin American film, and to establish connections between sociocultural and political changes in Spanish-speaking countries and their films--the most artistic and expressive medium of the past century. An intermediate level of Spanish is required, as students will give oral and written presentations in Spanish.
