    Description
    (No prerequisite. Can be taken as SOC 230 or PSY 230; credit awarded for only one course.) This interdisciplinary course covers sociological and psychological approaches to important social phenomena. The diverse topics include altruism; attitude formation and attitude change; conformity; person perception and social labeling; reference groups; social conflict and conflict resolution; human aggression; intergroup processes; intragroup processes; interpersonal attraction; social networks, statuses and roles; and the social development of the self.
