    (No prerequisite.) This fundamental real estate course emphasizes the basic concepts and terminology necessary for understanding the complexities of the real estate profession. The Department of Real Estate requires this course and Real Estate Practice (REAL 116), plus one other elective course to be taken prior to sitting for the Real Estate Salesperson's Exam. This course is also one of the eight courses required to sit for the Real Estate Broker's Exam. Specific course content is applicable towards Real Estate Appraiser Licensing (check with real estate instructors for content and subject categories based on Office of Real Estate Appraiser's requirements).
