    (Prerequisites: NE 188, 288A.) This course builds upon concepts presented in NE 288A, highlighting the major drug classifications, common prototype medications, and nursing management of drug therapy. Research findings and theory-based knowledge are applied in assessing the needs of patients for medications, safe medication administration, and patient education. Focus is on the basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for evidence-based medication administration and monitoring in the major drug categories. (CSU)
