    Description
(Prerequisite: NE 180, 180L. Corequisites: NE 181, 185, and 188). This course builds on concepts presented in NE 180 and provides students with a systematic clinical judgement method, pathophysiological basis, and health promotion and disease prevention concepts, to manage common acute and chronic medical surgical problems in the acute and community settings. Research and clinical practice guidelines are integrated with caring theory to minimize risk and bias, to empower the individuals and to promote wellness and advocacy. (CSU)
