This is a foundational course that provides a framework for professional nursing practice emphasizing the national Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) initiative. Basic nursing concepts introduced in this course include professionalism, safety, infection control, cultural humility, health promotion, health assessment/exam, psychosocial concepts, care and comfort skills, clinical judgment, and communication.
