    (Prerequisites: ENGL 150; BIOL 120, 224, 240; CHEM 110; NE 095. Corequisites: NE 180L, 188. Advisory: CIS 110). This is a foundational course that provides a framework for professional nursing practice emphasizing the national Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) initiative. Basic nursing concepts introduced in this course include professionalism, safety, infection control, cultural humility, health promotion, health assessment/exam, psychosocial concepts, care and comfort skills, clinical judgment, and communication. These concepts are applied to patients across the lifespan. (CSU)
