- (No prerequisite. Advisory: Basic instrumental/vocal technique and a willingness to take risks.) An introduction to improvisation for instrumentalists and vocalists who wish to develop their ability to perform jazz solos. Students learn jazz harmony, melody and rhythm, and apply this knowledge to the craft of improvisation. (CSU/UC)
