    (Prerequisite: Completion of Intermediate Algebra or the equivalent, or placement based on AB705 mandates.) This course helps student tutors develop their understanding of the principles of mathematics and of effective mathematics tutoring. Students learn how to recognize different learning styles so that they may better help others analyze their study habits and problem-solving skills, and how to communicate more effectively and provide an encouraging tutoring environment.
