This interdisciplinary course challenges students to further develop critical reading, writing, and thinking abilities through comparative study of materials from literature and various disciplines. Students evaluate shared cultural experiences that have shaped and continue to shape the human condition. The course examines the various impulses, needs, and forces that have influenced the human struggle for order, acceptance, knowledge, understanding, self-expression, power, freedom, individuality, and survival.
