- (No prerequisite.) A beginning course offering study and practice in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing French, along with an exploration of cultural aspects of the French-speaking world. (CSU/UC) AA/AS COM GE Area 3. This course is equivalent to two years of high school coursework. (formerly AA/AS Area C, CSU Area C-2, IGETC Area 6A: UC Language other than English)
