    (No prerequisite.) This course examines the ways in which early care and education professionals in infant/toddler, preschool, family day care and extended day programs can develop respectful, reciprocal relationships and partnerships with families. Topics will include family dynamics and parenting styles, supporting family culture, strategies for family engagement, techniques for positive, effective communication, and building trusting relationships from a strength-based approach.
