    Description
    (No prerequisite.) This course presents an overview of the visual and performing arts domain. Developmentally appropriate creative art experiences for young children from birth through age 8 includes visual arts, music, drama and dance. The developmental aspects of creative expression, the role of the environment, materials, and adult-child interaction in fostering and nurturing creative art expression are emphasized. Other topics include the documentation of art expression, how culture impacts children's art processes, and the factors that impact the development of creative expression and aesthetics in children.
