This course concludes the introduction of stenotype theory principles; improves fluent reading, writing, and transcription of stenotype notes; develops the ability to take dictation at 80-100 wpm on 5-minute literary, jury charge, 2-voice and 4-voice tests with 95% to 97.5% accuracy; and continues the development of technical, medical, legal, and general vocabulary, and familiarization with current events. Students simulate the role of court reporter in a variety of situations. (CSU)
