    Description
    (No prerequisite.) This course surveys theories and research in intercultural communication, focusing on investigating the intersection of power, identity, communication, and history in U.S. and global contexts. Students examine the influence of their own cultural beliefs and values to improve interactions with individuals from diverse backgrounds. The course includes lectures, discussion, reading, independent research, films, presentations, and written and oral assignments.
