    Description
    (Prerequisite: PSYC C1000, formerly PSY 110. Can be taken as PSY 251 or BIOL 251; credit awarded for only one course.) This class explores the basic brain processes underlying the functioning of the human mind. Topics include basic synaptic functioning, psychopharmacology, stress and the immune system, learning and memory, sleep, mood disorders, schizophrenia, language, motor and sensory systems, sexuality, consciousness, endocrine function and interactions.
