    Description
    (Prerequisites: BIOL 110 and 110L, CHEM 131, and completion of Intermediate Algebra or the equivalent or placement based on AB 705 Mandates.) This third semester in the biology majors' sequence covers the fundamentals of molecular and cell biology, genetics and molecular evolution, DNA technology, and the biology of viruses, bacteria, and archaea. Students incorporate lecture concepts into laboratory experiments which they design, carry out, analyze and report.
