    (No prerequisite.) A survey of the history of photography from the 1800s to the present. In this course, we will addresses key technical developments while at the same time explore photography's relationships to the social, economic, technological, and political. Emphasis on developing and enhancing students' ability to understand photography in their historical and social contexts. May require field trips to local museums, galleries, or lectures.
