Transfers ToCSUDescription(Prerequisite: Art 176A.) This course expands upon the use of the potter's wheel in the creation of ceramic vessels. Through the study of historical and contemporary pottery practices from diverse cultures, students apply the fundamentals of vessel design. Techniques include wheel throwing, trimming, and altering of cups, bowls, vases, lidded containers, pitchers, teapots, and combined forms, and handle making.
