    Description
    (No prerequisite.) A chronological survey of western art, architecture, and visual culture from Neoclassicism to the era of globalization. Addresses the impact of social, economic, technological, and political change on modern and post-modern art. Emphasis on developing and enhancing the ability to understand works of art in their social and historical contexts. May require field trips to local museums, galleries, or lectures.
