Transfers ToCSUDescription(No prerequisite.) This course provides a foundation for future architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and city planning courses. It explores the basic elements of architecture and the built environment including form, organizational principles, context, materials, and the sensory qualities of design. The design process and professional practice are also addressed. Emphasis is placed on the process of developing one's personal approach to design, the ways in which people experience architecture, and the relationship of architecture to society.
