Topics include demography, languages, religions, identity, urbanization and landscape modification, political units and nationalism, globalization, and economic systems and development. The course includes a geographic examination of global, regional, national, and local issues and requires students to critically evaluate these issues. At some colleges, this course is referred to as "Introduction to Human Geography." C-ID: GEOG 120.
