    Description
    This course is a study of diverse human populations, their cultural origins, diffusion and contemporary spatial expressions. Topics include demography, languages, religions, identity, urbanization and landscape modification, political units and nationalism, globalization, and economic systems and development. The course includes a geographic examination of global, regional, national, and local issues and requires students to critically evaluate these issues. At some colleges, this course is referred to as "Introduction to Human Geography." C-ID: GEOG 120.
