    This course is an introduction to Black and African American Studies that centers on history, culture, and politics of the Black community in the United States. Special attention is given to exploring theoretical concepts and social processes such as the social construction of Blackness, white supremacy, racialization, social inequality, Black civil rights, racial justice, and liberation.
