    This course provides an introduction to native societies in North America. Students will examine the historical and contemporary Native American struggles against racism, land dispossession, forced acculturation, and poverty within the United States highlighting the Native people's ongoing struggle for social justice and the efforts to rebuild, revitalize, and reclaim their identity.
