Involves the student in working from observation, emphasizing composition, proportion, and anatomy, using line, texture, value, modeling, gesture, and contour drawing principles. Includes the technical application of diverse drawing materials and techniques. The concept and creative process of making art will be examined in historical and multi-cultural contexts.
