- Through a hands-on lab, the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) student analyzes functional human movement and develops intervention methods and strategies for remediation of and compensation for biomechanical deficits and impairments. Students learn to take basic vital signs, demonstrate proper body mechanics and ergonomics, measure range of motion, perform manual muscle testing, complete safe functional transfers.
