- Classroom instruction and laboratory practice in joining metal by welding. This course is designed to provide the safe and operational uses of the advanced welding and fabrication processes such as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) of exotic materials and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) of custom objects. This course provides students with cutting and welding skills relevant to industry standards, welding certification requirements and general purposes. CSU English 261
