- This course is designed to provide the safe and operational uses of intermediate welding processes including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) and physical testing of welds. This course covers business oriented topics such as inventory control, machine maintenance, and sustainability. This course provides students with cutting and welding skills relevant to industry standards, welding certification requirements and general purposes. CSU
