- Provides an introduction to basic patient care in the hospital setting with a focus on the following core components of Vocational Nursing: the nursing process, legal aspects of nursing, medical terminology, therapeutic communication, basic bedside nursing care, client teach- ing, infection control and basic needs assessment.
