Learn the knowledge and skills needed to function in an acute care setting, focusing on the needs of the acute care patient and the role of a certified nursing assistant in meeting those needs. Clinical placement in an acute care setting will provide hands-on experience caring for acutely ill patients with a variety of diagnoses. Teamwork, communica- tion, and the importance of accurate observation and assessment will be emphasized.
