    (CPR) approved by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross for Health Care Providers and complete immunization as required by the affiliated facility Theory and content integrating basic nursing concepts and skills in order to provide safe and competent patient care in a long term care setting. Core components include communication and interpersonal skills, infection control, safety and emergency procedures, promot- ing patient independence, patient/resident rights, basic nursing skills, personal care skills, mental health and social service needs, care of the cognitively impaired and basic restorative services.
