We aim to understand and dismantle not only sexism, but also racism, homopho- bia/heterosexism, classism, ableism, ageism, transphobia, and other forms of institutionalized oppression. The AA-T prepares students who wish to transfer and pursue a baccalaureate degree in a field related to Social Justice, particularly at the California State University campuses. Related fields include Women and Gender Studies, Feminist Studies, Sexuality Studies, Ethnic Studies, Critical Race Studies, or any of a number of other CSU Majors included in this "area of emphasis." It is advised that potential majors meet with an affiliated counselor or department chair to discuss educational goals, course options, and transfer issues.
