- Advanced concepts of news-gathering, interviewing, and writing. Students will be assigned beats covering neighborhood communities and local government. Extensive research, interviewing, meeting cov- erage, and writing is involved. Students will improve and expand their news-gathering, writing skills, and knowledge through the use of the Public Records Act. CSU
