    Description
    ESL 188 Survey of Asian cultures of modern to contemporary period, especially Arabic-Islamic, Indian, Chinese and Japanese cultures. Emphasis on literature, philosophy, religion, and the arts. Provides an interdisci- plinary and cross-cultural approach to the differences and underlying unity of Asian cultures. UC/CSU IDST 27A is not prerequisite to 27B. No knowledge of foreign languages required.
