- Introduction to the history of the Earth with emphasis on the classifi- cation and evaluation of common rocks and fossils; analysis of geologic maps and stratigraphies; interpretation of geologic histories of select locations on the planet; and evaluation of how fossil life has been pre- served and has evolved.
