The course will focus on American involvement in World War II, but will also examine the systemic fracturing of the world order through the rise of Japanese, German, and Italian imperialism, assess the impact of the worldwide economic depression in the 1930's, military strategies and conduct, and analyze the impact of the war on the homefront, as well as, the long-term effects on American policy and the world.
