    Description
    In this course, students receive instruction in academic reading and writing, including writing processes, effective use of language, analytical thinking, and the foundations of academic research. This is an honors course. Extensive writing practice based upon reading culturally diverse fiction and non-fiction and related critical material. In addition, students are expected to work and participate at an honors level which includes strong critical thinking skills, thorough analysis of fiction and non-fiction texts, demonstration of presentation, and service learning in the community.
