Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis occupational skills course is designed to provide advanced education in orthodontic assistant duties that are described in the California Dental Practice Act and is designed for students who are current Registered Dental Assistants or unlicensed dental assistants. This course meets the didactic, laboratory, and clinical requirements set forth by the Dental Board of California Orthodontic Assistant Permit (OAP) course approval requirements to qualify to take the orthodontic assistant dental board exam. Students must present a current American Heart or Red Cross BLS/CPR certification for health care providers, Hepatitis B immunization or refusal form. In addition, students must present one of the following options listed below prior registering. Option #1: Active Dental Board of California issued Registered Dental Assistant License. Option #2: 2-hour course in the California Dental Practice Act (completed within the last 1.5 years); 8-hour course in Infection Control (completed within the last 1.5 years).Usually HeldMon Wed 5:30pm–9:00pm
