Students will explore diversity characteristics such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, age, and ability through the lenses of foundational theories, including Social Identity Theory, and Intersectionality. The course emphasizes the influence of these factors on personal development, learning, and agency. Additionally, it fosters critical thinking skills to analyze the causes and consequences of inequity, encouraging creative solutions to address these disparities within society.
