    This course will examine the acquisition of speech and language skills from birth to age five. Emphasis will be on typical language development, articulation, fluency, and voice development. Students will gain knowledge of children's language learning, adult teaching strategies and linguistic and cultural diversity. An overview of communication disorders and appropriate professional referrals will be studied.
