    This course explores principles and methods employed by directors, designers, actors, and dramaturges to comprehend and analyze theatrical scripts for play production. Through close reading of plays from different periods, cultures, perspectives, and genres, students identify techniques used to determine how to read a play for its structure, plot, characters, imagery, and meaning.
