    Description
This course provides continued content and clinical practice designed for sequential development, application, critical analysis, integration, synthesis, and evaluation of concepts and theories in the performance of radiologic procedures. Using structured, sequential, competency-based clinical assignments, concepts of team practice, patient-centered clinical practice and professional development are discussed, examined and evaluated. Emphasis is on patient care and assessment, competent performance of radiologic imaging and total quality management. Students will focus on the well-being of the patient prior to, during and following radiologic procedures with increasingly independent performance. Students perform under direct and indirect supervision as appropriate, adhering to all policies and procedures in the Radiologic Technology Student Handbook. There is a secondary rotation for nine weeks to experience a new facility.
