    A detailed introduction to the Internet and security issues affecting individual computers and Internet access. Topics include Web tools, access, hardware, software, protocols, security, communication, e-communities, e-commerce, search tools, power searching, cloud services, Internet of Things (IoT), other current and emerging Internet and Web technologies, and verification of information, privacy, and other legal and societal issues. Protection strategies from viruses, Trojan-Horse programs, e-mail attacks, and other forms of intrusion. Selection, installation, and use of anti-virus software.
